Looking for a landscape filled with gardens, whimsical features and elements to attract butterflies, these Killingworth home owners were thrilled with the unique world of enjoyment we created. We created a landscape design that would provide year-round interest. What started as just a front foundation and island bed ended up encompassing a good portion of the 2 acres of this property. Wanting a large yard for their canine companions, yet a place filled with interest, this site was designed with a variety of elements at play.

A solar powered fountain/bird bath is tucked amongst the flowers in the landscape. Not far from a graceful birch, there are plenty of places for a bird to have a spa day and soak up the sun protected in the branches of nearby select trees. This landscape design was planned to attract birds.

A natural stone pathway invites a stay on a lovely bench in the landscape. Situated near a flowering crabapple, an abundance of spring bulbs provide early color for the season start in the garden.

These homeowners love vintage, so we found an old water pump, an old bucket and combined the two to create a working water feature in their garden. A lovely rusty wheelbarrow forgotten and left to rot in the woods was commandeered to hold a variety of annuals that change with the seasons. The planter accentuates the vintage feel of this landscape.

This lovely native dogwood has a light canopy that provides just enough shade for some perennials that prefer a bit of respite from the summer sun in the garden. The flowers are beautiful, but what makes this landscape stand out is truly the colorful foliage that abounds in all seasons.

Solar bird bath/fountains attract birds while flower color and foliage texture were carried throughout the entire design. A specialty garden to attract butterflies with a luxe back border filled with plants to create winter interest marries with perennials that create great flowers for cutting bouquets.
A small barn set among the gardens creates a picturesque rural setting. A fire pit in the backyard along with a large deck and french doors leading out to the gardens provides an ideal space for entertaining.
