How The Fashion World Can Influence Your Landscape

If you love your garden, winter is a dreary time, so it's good to have something to look forward to in the coming spring months.

Every fall at the height of Fashion Week, The Pantone Color Institute reveals their top 10 palette trends for spring of the coming year.

This year's top 10 colors are particularly exciting to us in the landscape industry because they were inspired by our own natural surroundings.

Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute had this to say; “Reminiscent of the hues that surround us in nature, our Spring 2017 Fashion Color Report evokes a spectrum of emotion and feeling.” She goes on to say “they capture the promises, hope, and transformation that we yearn for each spring.”

Because the colors are derived from the natural palette, it's easy to be a garden fashionista!

Take note of some of the color names you see below like "Primrose Yellow" or "Pink Yarrow". There's even "Pale Dogwood" and "Kale". It's amazing how much landscaping is starting to influence the rest of our world!
